This dragster project began in December 2007 by the Niemczyk father and son team. Previous to the dragster, son, Tony, had a 95 Eclipse GSX that he competed with in the NOPI Power Street category. His father, Bob, a long time bracket racer, was very much impressed with the power of the 4 cylinder. The eclipse however was plagued with driveline problems as they ran deep into the 10s on street radial tires. Their solution was to build a car that utilizes the same 4 cylinder power plant, but have the driveline to handle the power.

They worked with Ken's Kustom Chassis and completed all the assembly and fabrication on their own.

In 2009, they went from initially starting the car to matching their compeition eliminator index (7.30) in just 20 passes. They have a lot to work on and plan on extracting all the power they can. The eclipse is still around, however the focus cotinues with the dragster.

2012 has been a record hitting season thus far for the dragster. The team is now NHRA Certified for an official class record in the I/D class with speed of 195.31mph and time of 6.85s in the 1/4mile. Effective from May 29th, 2012 at the Maple Grove Raceway, PA. Also on June1st, they hit into the 200MPH! Congratulations guys and we look forward to seeing more action!
